Child abuse is negative influences on a child whether through sociopsychological, educational, emotional or physical effects. Child abuse is anything resulting in death or harm to a child under the age of eighteen.
Child abuse is a very serious issue. It is caused when a child is hurt intentionally or when a parent does not provide their child with the care they need. ( Catholic Children's Aid Society, n.d ) Child abuse covers everything that is having a negative effect on the child. Whether it's having a sociopsychological, educational, emotional or physical effect. Child abuse is anything resulting in death or harm to a child under the age of eighteen. ( Karson, M. 2001) Child abuse can come in many different forms, neglect, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. They all vary from each other and I think it's important to take the time to explain and give examples each and every one of them.
