Creation Vs. Evolution
Summary: Evolution comes from the stance that all living things came about through slow and subtle changes in the biological makeup of species. Whereas, creation says that all living things appeared at the same time and were created, rather than formed over time.
Ever since Charles Darwin's theories of evolution and natural selection were made public, an ongoing debate has existed. Those coming from a religious viewpoint believe the story of creation that is depicted in Genesis, the first book of the Bible, while others find validity in Darwin's approach. And then there are those who reside in between opinions and have yet to formulate a stance. Nonetheless, each theory is believable in its own way, therefore a healthy debate between the two continues to prevail.
In the Bible, the story goes that the earth was nothing but darkness, to begin with. God had always existed and decided that he wanted to create life and a race in the image of himself. With the "let there be light" command, he began the creation of the world. He then separated light from darkness and the concept of day and night was born...
