Napoleon Bonaparte's Legion of Honor

Summary: Napoleon Bonaparte impacted France greatly. One of his greater accomplishments was his Legion of Honor, though, which was founded in 1802. Napoleon was hoping that in founding this organization he would succeed in rewarding distinguished men who served the nation either in civil duty or military duty, but especially military duty.
Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaciio, Corsica on August 15, 1769 and was the second child of the Bonaparte family. When he was ten, Napoleon entered Brienne, a military school where he remained until he was fifteen years of age. At age fifteen, having finished at Brienne, Napoleon got into the Ecole Militaire (Royal Military College) where the King paid for his education in full. The military was very important to Napoleon as he rose from a Commander to King of France.

During his time in power, Napoleon Bonaparte impacted France greatly. One of his greater accomplishments was his Legion of Honor, though, which was founded in 1802.
