Summary: A law is defined as a rule set out by an agreement, authority or as described by a custom. Another way of describing it would be the body of rules governing the affairs of society.
Law is the abiding power over everything we say and do. It controls all things from the simplest man to the most complex company or government. Some people say that having laws enslaves man, restricts what they can and can't do to such an extreme degree that man is no longer free. Those "some people" are wrong. Law does nothing but protect the freedom we, as common people, have always sought. As long as we have rules to guide us, our lives will be more full and meaningful. Is this not what every country in the world is shooting for? Lasting peace? Yes, and having laws is the start of that peace.
