Reading Helps Improve Vocabulary
Summary: Vocabulary can be developed by reading more often, using a dictionary and thesauraus, and talking with other about what you have read or viewed on television.
Have you ever wondered why you don't have strong vocabulary? The answer might be as simple as "I don't read a lot." You must read what ever you can. It is always a good idea to read interesting things. Begin each morning with a brand new word; you can keep a dictionary right next to your bed. Work the word into conversation during the day. Say the word, spell it and say it again to aid memory retention. While reading underline the words that are new to you and write them on separate piece of paper. It will help you to improve your vocabulary. To increase your vocabulary you need to take three steps. The three steps are the following: read books, novels, articles, newspaper, and magazine; using dictionary, thesaurus; watch T.V and talk with friends.
