The Atkins Diet provides people with an eternity of nutritional philosophy that limits their intake of refined and processed carbohydrates and encourages the consumption of nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, meanwhile advancing the use of "vita-nutrient" supplements. The Atkins philosophy is based on four phases called the Atkins Nutritional Approach, that allows you to select which foods to eat based on your need to achieve and maintain weight loss and your weight. Also to enjoy good health and prevent disease. The four phases are:(1) Induction, (2) Ongoing Weight Loss, (3) Pre-Maintenance, and (4) Lifetime Maintenance. Induction is the limitation of carbohydrate intake to 20 grams each day, receiving your carbohydrates from salad and other on-starchy vegetables.
