It is apparent that both authors sympathize the obstacles that these workers face by their vivid descriptions of the nomadic, laboring lifestyles. Although both passages touch on similar topics, an overall contrast in the authors choice of description, manner of speaking, and the degree of personal connection show us that these passages were written for separate purposes.
Dissimilarities in the author's depictions tell us that the they may have each been aiming for a different over-all effect.
