The Contrasting Philosophies of Hobes and Lockes

John Locke and Thomas Hobbes both agreed that a ruler of some sort is absolutely necessary for a country to thrive and flourish. Without a leader, the country would fall away. Hobbes and Locke's both have totally different views on how people are and human nature. Hobbes states that we are born devilish and nasty. On the other hand Locke sees humans as innocent and blank minded.
Hobbes point of view on human nature and how a government should be run is a more realistic way of looking at things than John Locke's theory.
