Hatshepsut's rule on Egypt was a great and prosperous one. But one of the most interesting aspects about her rule was her accuracy and vision when it came to the building of structures and the restoration of others, her building program was more prolific then previous rulers. As Nigel and Helen Strudwick quote:
"Hatshepsut wanted to stamp her position as king and show her great loyalty to her father Amun (the great god of Thebes)"
Which is seen by her building and many religious buildings like the red chapel, as well as the Barque Sanctuary at Luxor, restoring the Speos Artemidos Temple and also Hatshepsut's wonderful mortuary temple at Deir el Bahri etc...
