In Freud¡¦s psychoanalytic theory in which personality is shaped by sexual and aggressive drives, I have learned that I tend to side with my superego rather that my id and ego sides of my personality. I am always aware of consequences and want to do all I can to choose what is correct and safe. I am now if Freud¡¦s genital stage of life, but I can recall being in the previous stages. I remember being in the latency stage where I used to run around with my girl friends and try to chase the boys away because they were icky and had cooties. I don¡¦t believe that I have any major fixations, which is good. I think that it is possible that I might be a tiny bit anal expulsive because I tend to be a little messy.
