How Does Willy Russell Keep the Audience Involved in Blood Brothers
"Blood Brothers" is a play about a set of twins, Mikey and Eddie born into a working class family. Their parents Mr and Mrs Johnston cannot afford to bring them up because they already have seven children in a small cramped house. Mrs Lyons (Mrs Johnston employer) offers to "buy" one of the twins because it is the one thing that she hasn't got. Eddie is sold to the Lyons and is brought up in an upper class family and Mikey is brought up with the Johnston's in a typical working class family. There is a strong bond between the too, especially when they don't know that they are brothers. Both Eddie and Mikey fall in love with the same girl and that is when they realise they are brothers.
