1 Introduction
The purpose of the alternate energy vehicle was to design, construct and test a scaled model of a simple vehicle. The vehicle was to travel a designated track in the shortest possible time. The model must include an enclosed prism volume of 80x50x50 mm and the chassis must have a minimum dimension of 200x160 mm.
The chassis was to be made from either ply wood or aluminium sheet. The rest of the model consists of a gear kit, 2 axles, 4 wheels, an electric switch and a battery pack.
