Was Nazi Rule Beneficial to Germany?
Summary: Questions if the Nazi regime was actually beneficial to Germany. Describes Hitler's successes in eliminating many of Germany's domestic problems.
On the surface, it would certainly seem that Nazi rule brought about many benefits to Germany. Hitler was largely successful in eliminating unemployment, which was considered a great improvement among the ordinary people. They now had jobs and were able to live better lives and were less in want of food and other necessities. This was achieved by providing thousands of extra jobs through the public works schemes. Since the Nazi party was increasing rapidly, a party bureaucracy was set up and this opened up many new office and administration posts. Furthermore, Jews were taken away to concentration camps and this meant that their previous jobs were now on the market to the Germans, who now had a huge variety of jobs to select from, ranging from journalism to theatre and music.
These vacancies were quickly snapped up and by 1939, just six years after his arrival in power...
