Firstly, Neil's father, Mr Perry could be responsible for his son's death. One reason for this is that Mr Perry didn't let Neil write for the schools magazine at the start of the year. This did not mean much at the time but Neil was still unhappy. Another reason is that I think Mr Perry was too strict on him. He made Neil go to summer school.
