The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides is a lot like the movie White Oleander that was directed by Peter Kosminsky. What makes these two pieces very similar is that they both touch a wide range of themes. There are also many other things that can be looked at between the movie and the novel. The themes are just the beginning. The symbols, major conflicts, and the events that are foreshadowed are what make these two pieces very similar.
