Summary: George Mueller, born on September 27, 1805 in Kroppenstadt Prussia lived a sin-filled early life. When George Muller died, he left $350.00, a few pieces of furniture, and hundreds of souls won to Christ. He is a wonderful example of Christ's merciful deliverance, loving guidance, and that God truly "fills the open mouths."
The young minister walked wearily into his study. His wonderful plans had been scorned and rejected. "Have they no pity for thousands of starving, dying orphans"" he wondered. Kneeling down, he poured out his heart before God. "Dear God, you know I need $5000 and a building to house thirty active children. I need food, clothes, and bedding for them, and Christian workers who will love them and teach them to live in your ways. I have done all I can do myself for the children and it is nothing. Because I know that this burden in my heart was placed there by You, I now leave my petition in Your sovereign and loving hands, confident that you will answer my prayer amen." After praying all week God gave him the answer in Psalm 81- Open thy mouth wide and I will fill it. He leaned back and laughed...
