The development of the simple microscope to the electron microscope allowed for all the different discoveries of cells and eventually to the development of the Cell Theory. This statement has definitely been proven in history. As the microscopes advance in their abilities, biologists and scientists are able to study the cells in more detail. More detail leads to more discoveries of things previously unknown to man. For example, before the 1600's, scientists did not even know that cells existed. This changed when the first compound light microscope was discovered. The discovery of cells led scientists to study the cells and discoverer more information about cells. Once cells had been discovered, scientists started to specifically look for information about cells.
