These trials and tribulations are the same challenges that any teen today would face. This novel also shows the harm of too much technology and the impact it has on people. One of the major themes of this novel is how advertising and the media affect teenagers in negative ways. Titus and Violet, two main characters in this novel, struggle with the effects of having "feeds" implanted in their heads.
