"War Photographer"

Summary: An analysis of "War Photographer" by Carol Ann Duffy, a poem that explores the theme of death. In the poem, a war photographer returns to his dark room to develop images he had taken of the war and deals with his thoughts, memories, and feelings as he does his work.

Chose a poem, which explores one of the following themes: Love, death or childhood. In your answer you must refer closely to the text and at least two of: Imagery, structure, word-choice, sound or any other appropriate feature.

`War photographer' by Carol Ann Duffy is a poem that explores the theme of death. In the poem we see the photographer developing images that he had taken from the war, as he is processing these images his thoughts and memories come flooding back to him.

The Purpose of this poem is to show the destruction and devastation that the war tends to bring.

The first line of the poem it says

`In his dark room, he is finally alone'
