Welcome to the world of Constantin Sergeyevich Alexeyev or as he is more commonly named Stanislavski. Stanislavski was born in January 1863. His father was a wealthy Russian man who gave his son private education as well as lessons in acting, singing and dancing. While Stanislavski was on his way to a major stage role he had to help with the family business attending meetings and keeping accounts in order. He was however preoccupied with all aspects of theatre, he eventually became the leading member of his families theatre group. Stanislavski was lucky to have his father fund his productions, but by the age of 25 he wanted to escape from the family name so he took up the name...
