Summary: Power and law is one of the most dominant themes in the moving film "Rabbit Proof Fence" directed by Philip Noyce. This theme is responsible for the creation of the conflict between the protagonist, Molly Craig and the antagonist, Mr. Neville. With the use of characters, symbols and setting- power and law is developed throughout the movie.
Power and law is one of the most dominant themes in the moving film "Rabbit Proof Fence" directed by Philip Noyce. This theme is responsible for the creation of the conflict between the protagonist, Molly Craig and the antagonist, Mr. Neville. With the use of characters, symbols and setting- power and law is developed throughout the movie.

The most powerful character presented in the movie is Mr. A.O Neville, chief protector and legal guardian of every Aboriginal in Western Australia in the 1930's. Because of this official role, certain techniques are used to achieve Mr. Neville's character. Throughout the entire movie Mr. Neville's consisted of a suit which was always in impeccable condition. This was combined with perfectly waxed hair to make this character represent a man who put his work and the law before anything else.
