Feature Article Analysis
What strikes me most about the feature article, Freedom Fighter, written by Sean O'Hagan is the courage which Ali preached and practised, compared to other heroes of other sporting divisions. To me Ali is not just a sporting hero, but as the author pointed out a "modern existential hero" I especially admire his standing up and insisting on doing what he believed to be right, at the peril of his image, popularity, sporting career and most of all his physical freedom. I hold him in extremely high regard due to the magnitude of what he stood up for, namely the freedom of the black population in America. Today's sporting heroes are paid to deliver constructive powerful messages..
