The Patriot was an excellent movie and I enjoyed it very much. It taught me a lot about the Americans during the war and how they had to fight "uncivilized" to win (guerrilla warfare). It also showed us how people got pulled into the war even though they didn't want to fight and how it was very hard to protect your family from the fighting. Americans had to hold on to a very small belief that they were going to win. It was a very difficult time in American History.
