Tucker's Countryside

Summary: In George Selden's novel Tucker's Countryside, Chester Cricket finds his home in the meadow endangered by a planned apartment building. So Chester calls on Tucker Mouse and Harry Cat to help him save his home.
Chester the Cricket is back home in Hedley, Connecticut from his Times Square adventure in this sequel book of author George Selden. However, he needs help saving his home in the country. Houses are moving closer and bulldozers are everywhere. The animals in the meadow do not know what to do. So Chester sends his friend John Robin to New York City to tell his friends Tucker the mouse and Harry the cat that their help is needed there.

It was a long time before the twosome got to Connecticut. The country is very different and strange for them. But when they heard the chirping of Chester, they knew that they were close to their friend. They have a hard time thinking of a plan to save the meadow, but Tucker knew that all the animals were depending on him. Soon they meet a girl named Ellen Hadley...
