Summary: Sleeping Dogs by Sonya Hartnett Griffin's Control
Shut off and sheltered by Griffin the Willow's view of the outside world became twisted. Griffin doesn't allow his children any freedom in the outside world, he has brainwashed them into thinking that they must stick together forever and he has trapped his children with him by taking away their options from a young age. These things have made the Willow's view of the world warped and they reject and are fearful of others.

Griffin allows his children no freedom in the outside world. He has complete control over them and prevents them from making friends, talking to "outsiders." "Dad doesn't like us to mix much with the guests." Without any freedom the children are unable to learn about everyday things and their view of the outside world turned to distrust and hostility.
