The DARE Program

Summary: The DARE program has proven to be ineffective and a waste of time and money. Intended to help prevent children and young teenagers from abusing drugs, there is no evidence to suggest that the program has had any measurable effect on drug abuse in America.
The United States has many programs available to the American people. However, some of these programs are useless. The federal government wastes time, money, and police on the D.A.R.E. program which hasn't shown any evidence in the decline of drug abuse in America. It has now been around for over twenty years.

The D.A.R.E. program was first established in 1983 in Los Angeles after a man made a comment about people who abuse drugs need to be show in the head! The D.A.R.E. program quickly spread across the country ending up in eighty percent of school systems in the nation. It was the best and most popular idea to help prevent children and young teenagers not to abuse drugs. Drugs that are mainly focused on are alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana.
