Kennedy's Possiblilities of Reacting in during the Cuban Missile Crisis
After Kennedy found a good and acceptable solution for both sides, he gained a lot of respect in the West and even in the West. In his own country, the United States of America, he came out of the crisis with a greatly improved reputation, what gave him more respect and political power. Kennedy had ended the Cold War and gained a role as peacemaker, willing to keep peace with the East. Because of Kennedy's successful compromises with the Russian leader Khrushchev, new steps were taken to reduce the risk of a nuclear war.
