In the book Annie's Baby there is a young girl who learns the hard way about love. Annie, who is only fourteen and in middle school, falls for a boy who she thinks she loves and everything goes wrong for her. At first everything about the boy is wonderful, but as time goes on she is introduced to his bad side.

Annie was a very athletic, outgoing girl who loved to play soccer. She was on the soccer team at her school.
