The mind is one of the most valuable sources that keep the body healthy. With illness in the mind, parts of the body can be affected (Dubovsky). This is called psychosomatic illness. According to the "Thorndike Barnhart Advanced Dictionary," psychosomatic illness can be explained as, "of having to do with, or caused by the interaction of the mind and body." With the illness, one can become affected physically and emotionally. The treatments of psychosomatic illness include seeking a psychiatrist, or seeing a doctor for medicine.
