What do you relate in your head when you hear the word control? Do you think of a monocracy, your parental figures, and a supervisor at work? Do you want that same control in your daily television viewing? DVR and PVR systems provide that same element of control in your television viewing lives.

DVR and PVRs are amazing technological advancements. While only 3.5 - 4 percent of television viewing homes have DVR or PVR systems, everything about these products points toward the future in technology. In 2005, 10 percent of television viewing homes are projected to have a DVR or PVR system. DVR or digital video recorders ( Vranica, 2004) are anything but limited. These advanced recording systems are capable of tasks never thought possible ten years previous.
