American Teenager
Summary: Describes life as a typical American teenager, fron the perspective of a non-American.
I can't really tell you what it's like to be an American teenager, since I myself am not American (as certain people seem to find unreasonably and endlessly entertaining), but I can describe to you the complicated and intricate life of a Swiss-Spanish alien teenager in a foreign country. First of all, there are the issues that come from being a foreigner, issues such as translation problems, language barriers, teasing because of different cultures and ideas and accents and pronunciation, the mistakes in courtesy and protocol that natives simply cannot understand, and the inability to hold a job without the unreachable work permit and the resulting eternal "broke"dom and lack of an automobile.
