Abraham Maslow was born on April 1, 1908 in Brooklyn New York. He was the first born in a family of seven. His parents were uneducated Russian immigrants of Jewish decent. Due to their own lack of education, his parents were very pushy on the subject of school. He however did not like this path; and ended up being a lonely boy who involved himself mostly with books.
