Operating out of London, Airside are possibly the only three-member graphic design team that never set to be graphic designers at all. Main man Richard Dirkin, having previously enjoyed successful careers as a club promoter and renowned dance music artist under the name LemonJelly, only decided to become a full-time graphic designer after winning much praise for his self designed record sleeves. Designer Natalie Hunter came into the team after studying a psychology degree at University. She found herself drawn towards the human - computer interaction elements of her degree, which swiftly led her into a career in web design. Technical artist Alex MacLean joined after several years of training to become an architect.
