Partical Reaction
I found out that my prediction was correct, that the hotter the hydrochloric acid the faster the reaction would be because the acid particles would have more kinetic energy therefore there would be more frequent successful collisions between the particles. E.g. when the acid was at 10 degrease Celsius it took 118 seconds for the reaction to totally stop but when the acid was at 60 degrease Celsius it took 22 seconds for the reaction to totally stop.
There was not a exact pattern but our theory was correct because when the acid was at its coldest (10 degrease Celsius) it took 118 seconds for the reaction with the magnesium to completely stop and when the acid was at 30 degrease Celsius (the middle of the temperature scale) it took 34 seconds for the reaction to completely stop and when the acid was at its hottest (60 degrease Celsius) it took 22 seconds for the reaction...
