The Success of Islamic Civilization
Summary: Examines eight documents concerning the history of Islamic civilization. Analyzes each document's supporting information concerning the success of Islamic civilization. Discusses the great accomplishments of early Islamic civilizations.
The Islamic civilization was able to encompass such an extensive empire for many different reasons. This civilization was very successful, because of the choice of either following Mohammed/Quaran or opposing them, showed its effort to treat everyone equally and did not force their people into a religion, and finally they seem to have a high-quality military in order to have a good explanation for conquest.
Throughout this civilization there were many different important things said such as in Document one, "Believe or else pay tribute....obey the Lord and His Apostle (Mohammed), and he will defend you....But if ye oppose and displease them....I will fight against you and take captive your little ones and slay the elder" (Document 1), which was quoted by Mohammed.
