In Support of Capital Punishment

The question of whether or whether not the death penalty should be reintroduced has been on the minds of Australian citizens for a number of years now. Recent polls show that 70% of those questioned wanted the death penalty to be brought back for crimes such as murder and rape murder. Some may argue that the death penalty is inhuman and that it is breaching the rights of an Australian citizen, But I think that is ridiculous! Most people would agree that when a person commits a crime as brutal and cruel as murder, then that person has forfeited all rights that are given to every other Australian citizen.
The death penalty is a punishment, it is not necessarily a prevention. It might not prevent some, but if there are any sick minded and cruel people out there considering one of these cowardice crimes, then they should be well...
