The Effect of Peer Pressure

Primary school had always been the same to me; a place for learning lots of new skills, a place that motivated you, a place where you were taught the ways of the world and of course, the place where you see your friends everyday and would hang about in that perfect socialising area: the playground! How delusional I must have been, brainwashed by the pretty flowers, smiling faces, and friendly teachers. The playground: a dreaded place where you're left alone with little or no supervision, and no one to turn to when problems arise. Or at least that was the case for Gemma.
I suppose in every class you stumble on a person who is different, someone who stands out from everyone else around you and you can't help but notice. It seems so long ago, but I suspect that memories like these are ones that regrettably stand...
