There were many inventors who contributed to the industrial revolution of America. Samuel Slater and the water frame are what are thought to of sparked this inferno.

Samuel Slater was born in Derbyshire, England, on June 9th, 1768. He became involved in the textile industry at the age of 14; when he was apprenticed to Jedediah Strutt, a partner of Richard Arkwright., who invented the water frame in England. Samuel was very smart and an efficient worker. Samuels' father had a high status in society which gave Samuel the opportunity to peruse the highest level of management training. During the seven years Samuel worked for strut, his primary goals were book keeping, mathematical calculations, and administrative tasks. But he also learned about the mechanics of cotton manufacturing. (Simkin, john. 4)
