Biodiversity is the variety of living things in an area. This includes the relationships between living things and there environment. Biodiversity is genetic variety, species diversity, and variability in communities, ecosystems, and landscapes. However, biodiversity id being hurt by the many threats. And its importance is worth more than you think.
Biodiversity is important because low biodiversity can result in less stability for an ecosystem. With biodiversity, you are able to have foods, clothing, medicine, and fuel. It also provides us with clean air and water. With out it, it would be hard or impossible to survive. If plants and animals are extinct that many diseases can still be around and you would never know if that organism could have provided a cure or treatment to the disease.
