A Consideration of the Banning of Standardized Testing
The board of education should ban standardized testing in school because of high levels of stress intake.
No matter how long we prepare for standardized testing, we are never ready to take them. According to Dr. Pathak, a heart surgeon at UMJ medical, "Too much stress is put upon students from standardized testing. These high levels of stress can lead to severe problems in later life." The professor of psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Stephen Auerbach, had stated that, "If stress is not managed appropriately, then it will lead to serious problems." Exposure to chronic stress can contribute to both physical illnesses, such as heart disease, and mental illnesses, such as anxiety disorders.
If standardized testing is not banned, then the youth of America will grow up to have severe problems that should never have existed.
