There are many causes to the French revolution. These included the countries financial problem, to the influence of the philosophers such as Voltaire and Lavoisier. Another reason for the revolution was that the people of France disliked Louis XVI, much to the fact which he had abused his power. There were unfair issues with taxation, meaning who were privileged and did not pay certain taxes. Not only the King, but also his wife Marie Antoinette was disliked.
