Testing Metals
I have done some experiments on metals before to see how well they react in different situations.
One of these was -
Displacement.
This is where I put different metals into different metal sulphates to see which metals where more reactive and dominant for example: I put Magnesium into copper sulphate, and because magnesium is more reactive than copper the magnesium `attacked' the copper and you are left with magnesium sulphate and copper remnants.
Reactivity Table
My Testing
In this test I will be testing
Zn Mg Fe Ca
(All in powder form to give a larger surface area)
Fair testing
Zn - Mass No 65
Mg - Mass No 24
Fe - Mass No 56
Ca - Mass No 40
Using 1g of each would be unfair because they would be different amounts according to their mass numbers so I used a different method.
Zn - 6.5g
Mg - 2.4g...
