A tactic in warfare in general- is an effective scheme for defeating your opponent by utilizing available resources and accounting for external influences and obstacles. In this sense, the tactic renowned as Blitzkrieg employed by Germany in World War Two (between 1939 to 1942) was indeed the unrivaled tactic.
Improved by a German infantry officer named Heinz Guderian after analyzing a premature version created by a British tactician, the concept of Blitzkrieg or `lightning warfare' was born and focused on the element of coordinated rapid movements. Guderian believed the WWI military blunders as causes of a static war and failure to effectively employ modern warfare technology to its fullest potential. He emphasized on operating smaller but highly mobile high quality forces with the support of aircraft.
