Stem cell research is one of the most debatable issues around today. In the eyes of some people it is considered killing doing research on human embryonic stem cells. In the eyes of other people, it is a miracle to be able to use stem cells from human embryos for medical purposes. There is a lot of misconception about what a stem cell actually is. What it is, is a blank cell that can potentially be turned into any type of tissue. They may be capable of forming any of the two-hundred and ten body tissues. There are three main places where a stem cell may come from. First, they may come from aborted fetuses. Secondly, they may also be formed in vitro, in a lab dish. And the last type of stem cell is called an "adult stem cell." But these cells don't necessarily come from adults...
