The Life of Fitzgerald: an Amazing Man
Summary: Essay is about the life of F. Scott Fitzgerald, and most of his accomplishments in life.
The 1920s marked a new time in American called the "Jazz Age." One of the most famous writers of this period was F. Scott Fitzgerald who was known for his novels and short stories that all seemed to be auto-biographical. "For his keen social insight, compelling emotion, and breathtaking lyricism, Fitzgerald stands out as one of the most important American writers of the twentieth century" (Scribner, "Publisher's Note,... 217). Throughout his short stories and his novels, Fitzgerald wrote about the life of the "Jazz Age": a life that mirrored his own tragic life.
Fitzgerald lived a very normal life. Born in 1896, Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald got encouraged to be a writer a young age (Scribner, "Publisher's Note,... 217).
