Summary: My essay is on the rights and freedoms that everyone so easily takes for granted, which is the right of parenting
Does the right to bear children also give you the right to do as you want while you are pregnant, despite the outcome? Does your right to free will also give you the right to give birth to a child with an addiction or defect, just because you decided you wanted to exercise these rights? What about the right of the child born with addictions and defects that could have been easily prevented with a little responsibility? This child has been stripped of his or her rights to live a full and healthy life just because you wanted to live yours as you saw fit.

To me, child bearing is a huge responsibility, but also a great privilege. If you are not ready to take on this responsibility and accept the outcomes, then you are not ready to take your pants off either.
