"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" (Neil Armstrong). Neil Armstrong had the opportunity to exploit his great fame, fortune, and power but yet he maintained his level of philanthropy, modesty, and generosity and remained persistent and composed throughout all of his hardships and victories. Neil Armstrong was a modest man who was always in control and accomplishing things. His landing on the moon was a phenomenon that still inspires millions of people and really was a "giant leap" for mankind.

Neil Alden Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930. His mother bore birth to him in St. Peters Hospital in Wapakoneta, Ohio (Star Child Team). Armstrong had always been interested in aircraft. Since age 9, he had dreamt of flying. He is married to Janet Shearon, who bestowed upon him two wonderful sons, Rickey and Mark (Life).
