The Day after Tomorrow
Summary: Essay provides a short description about the film, "The Day After Tomorrow."
This film, directed by Roland Emmerich is a great reproduction of what could happen in the future. It shows many catastrophes that are caused by global warming. Most of the incidents take place in New York City, where such disasters as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, huge floods, tidal waves, etc. take place.
There is a huge migration of people towards the south where they try to resettle in a warmer area. Though, this movie is repeating many events that have already taken place in ancient history. Such events were the Ice Age where animals migrated south to try and find a warmer location to settle. However when the people travel southwards they don't think about the fact that the catastrophes will also occur on other places.
Even though I have not seen the movie yet, I think I will like it because it will show the repetition of history...
