"Use Human Capital of the Countryside" was exactly the statement used by U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1935 to call for Rural Development. To be economically prosperous, a nation needs to be affluent in both parts of the country: the city and the rural area. Apparently, rural development is believed to be the only key to contribute to rural prosperity. Irrefutably, there are blessing results from this development, such as poverty reduction, rural infrastructure restoration, and economic, social and political development.
