A book, which I recommend to all young lovers of adventure and humour, is `Harold's Son' by the distinguished author Rosemary Sutcliff. This book is mainly about a little and very poor boy called Cmawer, who is a slave. A knife wound kills the present king and a new king comes to the throne. However before the new king can rightfully be called `King' he must fulfil all the ceremonies. However, in one of the parades, he sits astride a brilliant black stallion and prances down a public street. Cmawer is looking down from atop a reconstructed building, eating a piece of ginseng, when suddenly; he accidentally drops it onto the stallion's nose. The stallion rears nearly killing the king. A profoundly entertaining book.
